Organizers of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) reality show, has finally announced the date for the commencement of the ninth season.
Big Brother announced via its official Instagram page on Friday night, 6th of July that the popular show will kick off on July 28, 2024 by 7pm.
According to the graphics posted on the page, the 2024 edition will last for 71 days, adding that this edition will be ‘Two Journeys in One House’.

CorrectNG reported in March 2024, Big Brother Naija announced it opened auditions for the ninth season, explaining that the audition came in a new format.
In a new twist, it was disclosed that auditioning pairs can be close friends, family members, romantic partners, or any combination that embodies a “dynamic duo”. Intending Contestants were asked to audition in pairs from Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at 8:00 pm.
BBNaija wrote: “Exciting News! Biggie is back for #BBNaija Season 9 auditions with a twist! The audition requires 2 people. This year, its a search for Dynamic Duos that love the show and can turn up the heat in Biggie’s house!
”Can you make a Dynamic Duo? Simply swipe and follow the instructions! Auditions open, 27th March at 8pm!’ Contestants are encouraged to submit a three-minute video showcasing their personalities, strengths as a duo, and why they should be in the house for BBNaija Season 9.”
