BREAKING: Court Dismisses Naira Abuse Case Against Cubana Chief Priest On Davido And Chioma’s Wedding Day—-The Genius Media Nigeria reports that The Federal High Court in Lagos has dismissed the naira abuse case against Cubana Chief Priest, who was cautioned and discharged.

 

TGM gathered that Federal High Court in Lagos State has struck out the naira abuse case against celebrity bartender Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest.

 

This follows his arraignment by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on April 17 on three counts of spraying and mishandling naira notes, actions violating Section 21(1) of the Central Bank Act of 2007.

 

Okechukwu pleaded not guilty and was granted bail for N10 million.

 

The matter was adjourned to May 2, during which Okechukwu’s lawyer, Mr. Chikaosolu Ojukwu, SAN, mentioned that both parties were seeking a settlement under Section 14(2) of the EFCC Act. After discussions, the defence counsel requested the withdrawal of a preliminary objection, which was unopposed by the prosecution and granted by the court.

 

In an Instagram post, Cubana Chief Priest revealed that the case was struck out during the hearing on June 25, and he has been cautioned and discharged. He also advised his fans and followers against the mutilation of the naira.
