Award-winning Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Funke Akindele has stated that contrary to widespread belief, she is not yet a billionaire.
CorrectNG recalls that Akindele shattered box office records earlier this yeat with ‘A Tr!be Called Judah’. The movie has reportedly grossed about N1 billion.
Fans had concluded that the movie star is now a billionaire owing to the success of the film, but the actress clarified that she did not personally earn billions from it.
Funke, while responding to a fans congratulatory post on social media, said she has not become a billionaire, but she still remains a ‘confirmed hustler’.
She said; “Thanks dear. I’m not a billionaire! My movie A Tr!be Called Judah grossed over a billion naira. But I didn’t take the billion home o!!! I be confirmed hustler.”
Meanwhile, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar had hailed the popular in January 2024, for shattering box office records and setting a new standard for excellence.
He had said; “I extend my heartiest congratulations to Funke Akindele for the phenomenal success of “A Tr!be Called Judah”.
