Nigerian rap star, Cheque has revealed that he used to date a girl who was in the same room with his friend and colleague, Asake.
He made this known during an interview with Hip TV while reflecting on the beginning of his relationship with some of his colleagues in the entertainment industry.
The ‘History’ crooner said he has been friends with many fellow artistes such as Asake, Fireboy DML, Blaqbonez and Yhemo Lee since their days at Obafemi Awolowo University, OAU Ile-Ife.
According to the Penthauze signee, he and Asake used to go together whenever they are visiting their respective girlfriends, since they stayed in the same house.
Cheque also revealed that he met a lot of the musicians he knows today through show promoter and actor, Yhemo Lee whom he got to know through one of his ex-girlfriends.
He said; “I met Yhemo Lee through one of my former girlfriends. My friend was his friend and then she introduced me to Yhemo Lee at an event in 2012 or so.
“From there I met Fireboy, Blaqbonez, and I started meeting everybody through Yhemo Lee. I was studying chemical engineering, I was strictly not into the music stuff because it was for unserious people.
But I got into music fully eventually. It was like a calling. I couldn’t resist it. So I met those guys, I started going to the studio with them. I and Yhemo Lee were staying together so I met Asake, too.
Asake and I were dating two girls in the same room. We always moved together to their house. It was a very craazy time. The bond is very strong. I have been friends with Fireboy DML and Blaqbonez for 14 Years.”
