On-Air-Personality, Nedu Wazobia has reacted after actress, Yvonne Jegede backtracked on the comment she made regarding her colleague, Yul Edochie.
Appearing on the Honest Bunch podcast hosted by Nedu days ago, the actress had questioned criticisms directed at Yul for taking a second wife, stating that she doesn’t see anything wrong with it.
She said there is double standards surrounding polygamous relationships, as people did not react the same way in the case of Ned Nwoko and Regina Daniels.
Yvonne said; “You see this same Yul Edochie, ehn, 99% of people that are abusing him on the internet are from second wives, third wives, fourth wives, and even fifth wives.
“Sometimes some of them come from wives they the family does not even know about; let’s all stop being silly on the internet.
“He is owning his BS with his chest, but nobody is going to support him, even me. I have to stand with the crowd so they don’t curse me. I don’t see anything he’s done wrong; most of us are from second wives.
“Why are we cursing the guy? They would curse him and leave Ned Nwoko alone, and say Regina Daniels is your prayer point, and she’s the only one that can advise you about marriage. These are the comments I see.”
However, the actress later apologized to Yul Edochie’s first wife, May, for her controversial remarks, saying she did not adequately articulate her thoughts.
Following her apology, Nedu remarked that people should be bold enough to stick to their position on certain topic or issues.
The TV and radio presenter took to his social media page and wrote; “If you talk use your chest, stand by your words. Still Number 1”.
