Nigerian food blogger, Ify Mogekwu, has given thanks to God for blessing her with a set of twins after nine years of marriage and 4 In vitro fetilization, (IVF).
The chef revealed that she got married in 2011 and suffered infertility issues for six years and commenced the IVF journey in 2017.
The social media content creator said she had a miscarriage in 2018, but at the end of her battles and struggles to have a child, God eventually blessed her with a set of twins.
Ify shared a video reel which chronicled her story and showed off her twins, a boy and girl, who are now growing kids.
She captioned; “Ah! This period was no fun. All through the time, I never missed a day of posting content on Instagram. You guys didn’t know what I was going through. I will smile on camera and cry once I am done. I couldn’t even celebrate my anniversary on my page because I felt you guys were counting the years for me.
I felt everyone was looking at me and wondering what the challenge was. I couldn’t even attend child dedication ceremonies without feeling everyone was looking at me and feeling sorry for me. My pain was an open secret. Everyone knew. I couldn’t hide.
I am reposting this video to encourage someone. There is light at the end of the tunnel and you will smile again. I know your pillow is soaked from the tears no one sees but it won’t always be that way.
You will carry as many children as you want and your home will be filled with so much joy and happiness. One thing I want you to do is to never give up. Keep praying and seek medical advice. Do everything you can.
You will get tired but don’t give up. Rest and start again. You are not alone and it will end in praise I promise. I am looking forward to saying congratulations to you.”
