Taking to his Twitter page on Tuesday, a day he announced that he lost his father, Erigga noted that people can only inspire others and not motivate them.

The ‘Motivation’ hit-maker explained that the human brain secretes chemicals which is responsible for mood control and that is proof that only a person can motivate themselves.

Erigga said; “When people introduce themselves as motivational speaker beware, Nobody has the power to motivate anyone. They can only inspire you. The brain is designed to secrete chemicals that controls our mood. You alone possess the ability to motivate yourself.”

Meanwhile, in another news…

Nigerian singer and songwriter, Anthony Ebuka Victor, better known as Victony has revealed that he has one source of music inspiration.

The ‘Holy Father’ hit-maker said his only inspiration in the music industry is award-winning Afrobeats singer, David Adeleke aka Davido.

He alluded to Davido’s performance at the closing ceremony of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, saying that the DMW boss motivates him to want to perform at the FIFA World Cup someday.

The artiste wrote; “My only inspiration in the industry ❤️???? I’m motivated I’ll love to perform for FIFA World Cup one day.. drop #Davidoworldcup”

This comes after Victony said that he will not allow anybody exploit him, when a social media user insinuated that Wizkid influenced his style.

The tweep known as Toheeb Showemimo, had quoted a video of Victony dressed like Wizkid and wrote; “He’ll come out one day and say “wizkid is not the source of my inspiration””

In reaction, the Soweto crooner wondered why someone would think he is copying the Joro crooner simply because of an outfit.

He said that he put in so much effort into his career so that he can take care of his family, adding that he respects the ones who came before him, but he would not stoop low for them.
