Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag conceded that his team was thoroughly outplayed in all aspects during their 4-0 defeat to Crystal Palace on Monday night.
Despite missing several key first-team players, including captain Bruno Fernandes, United’s performance was dismal as goals from Michael Olise (twice), Jean-Philippe Mateta, and Tyrick Mitchell sealed a heavy loss for the visitors.
Reflecting on the defeat, Ten Hag acknowledged the team’s underperformance, stating, “It’s clear, it’s obvious, this is underperforming. We didn’t act how we wanted to and it’s not good enough. We are very disappointed.”
