Nigerian singer, Kizz Daniel and his colleague, Tekno Miles have been trading words on microblogging platform, Twitter over controversy surrounding royalties for ‘Buga’.
CorrectNG recalls that reports made the rounds earlier this month, claiming that Tekno received royalties to the tune of N1 billion from the hit song.
The 31-year-old was featured by Kizz Daniel in the 2022 global hit song, and according to a blog, Budget TV, he said he is paid 50 percent from the proceeds every month.
In the report, Budget TV quoted Tekno as saying: “I got on Kizz Daniel’s Buga with no sort of legal agreement. I wasn’t expecting anything from him.
Wanted to be silent about this but I think some levels of gratitude deserve to be spoken of. Do y’all know Kizz Daniel sends me 50% of every revenue he generates from that song?”
Reacting via his Twitter (X) page at the time, Tekno dismissed the interview as “fake”, noting that Kizz Daniel cannot afford to pay that amount.
However, on Monday, April 29, the ‘Buga’ singer finally decided to reply the ‘Pana’ crooner and he claimed to have rescued his dying career by featuring him on the song.
“???? Dem mention money you sef dey talk… spewing shit like an*s see ekuke way we rescue with BUGA !! Oloribu omo ale,” Kizz Daniel wrote.
In response, Tekno referred to Kizz as an insecure person and boasted about being someone that nobody can play with.
He tweeted; “Hope you are trending now fool! Careful o, breeze blow foul nyash Dey Open, I’m not the one to be played with Before I Kattwilliams yours Ass #insecurenarcissist”.
