Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike is of the opinion that Nigerians would have voted for Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi during the February 25 polls, if he was a better candidate.
Wike spoke on Wednesday, August 30 while featuring on Channels Television’s Politics Today programme.
The former Rivers State governor noted that he supported President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who contested on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, at the expense of Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the keenly contested poll.
Speaking further, Wike said doesn’t discuss presidential candidates any longer and is more concerned with the decisions by the president.
Wike said; “I don’t discuss presidential candidates any longer; I discuss the economy, the president, what he has to offer. “If he (Obi) would have been better, Nigerians would have voted for him.”
