After opening for Africa’s billboard darling, Rema on his second back-to-back sold-out show in Toronto, Nigerian-Canadian artist, EverythingOShauN releases the remix of his afro-drill single, Ala Beke from his recent project, ‘Everything Is Right There’.
Titled ‘Ala Beke 2’, he collaborates with Nigerian hip-hop sensation Odumodublvck. Both of Igbo-descent, EverythingOShauN and Odumodublvck team up to make Ala Beke 2 (an Igbo phrase) culturally appropriate. The song’s meaning of “getting money in the white man’s land” (overseas) is a kismet description of Odumodublvck’s current trajectory (recent Headie award winner and topping the Nigeria Music Charts) and one EverythingOShauN is getting to with his continued heavy musical output in 2023. To date, the song has gotten EverythingOShauN as the cover for the popular Crxss Current Spotify editorial playlist as well as Naija Bars, Asakaa, New Music Friday Naija, Radar Canada and more.
This song will be included in EverythingOShauN’s next project, ‘Energy Is Everything’ to be released in 2024. EverythingOShauN was born to immigrant parents of Nigerian and Jamaican descent, widely regarded as two of the most influential nations of the world. With Bob Marley and Fela Kuti being the music forefathers along with the influence of the Toronto sound, EverythingOShauN naturally brings a blend of melodic, bold and carefully thought-out soundtracks. In November 2018, EverythingOShauN unveiled his third project, ‘Everything Over Everything Else’ – culminating elements and styles from previous work while continuing to please fans and media. The following year saw the release of two singles. Most notably, EverythingOShauN would see his single, Load MGMT carried into the 2019 NBA Champions, The Raptors’ regular season games thanks to the team’s official DJ, 4Korners. It also remains a mainstay on the Made In Toronto show on Toronto’s top radio station, Flow 93.5.
EverythingOShauN started the year 2020 off to a running start and did not slow down. Tracks like Come and See & Queen, Odinma & Worldwide lead up to the ‘Maybe It’s Nothing, Maybe It’s Everything’ album release in November on which OShauN hit the 1 million stream mark before the year ended. For 2021, EverythingOShauN released the mellow Nothing Is Stopping Everything EP and that was only the beginning. OShauN also created original music which was featured in Doordash’s official documentary, Soul of the City while his track, Come and See was featured in a TIFF film and hit Starz television series, Heels. Most recently, EverythingOShauN’s music was featured in the crime series, Mayor of Kingstown and the HBO Max series, Sex Lives of College Girls.
EverythingOShauNis currently rolling out his highly anticipated forthcoming album, Energy Is Everything, and is expected to take over in 2024.
