Nigerian Afrobeats star, David Adeleke, also known as Davido, has taken to social media to celebrate as he finally got nominated for a Grammy Award.
The ‘FIA’ crooner bagged a total of three nominations in the 66th Grammys, second to self acclaimed African Giant, Burna Boy with four nominations.
Davido’s fourth studio album, ‘Timeless’ was nominated in the Best Global Music Album category. While ‘Unavailable’ was nominated in the Best African Music Performance.
The singer’s melodious tune, ‘Feel’ got the final nomination under the Best Global Music Performance category.
Celebrating his achievement via his official Twitter page, the OBO wrote, “3 nominations at the Grammys! Delay is not denial!”

Davido will contest with his compatriot, Burna Boy and Arooj Aftab, Silvana Estrada, Béla Fleck, Falu and Gaurav Shah for the Best Global Music Performance gong.
He would also lock horns with Burna Boy, Susana Baca, Shakti, and Bokante in the Best Global Music Album category.
In the Best African Music Performance category, he will face off with familiar names – Asake, Ayra Starr, Burna Boy and South Africa’s Tyla.
